Club Italy is the oranism approved in November 2002 by the Federal Board of the FIGC with the task of "unifying and coordinating the management of all the national teams". Federcalcio wanted to give a new look to the structure of the national teams following the model of a real football club, where the National team is naturally the primary team on which all the other teams depend, from the Under 21 to the youth teams, as far as functions and programming are concerned.
