The Olympics start off with a win against the Honduras

A positive debut for the National Olympic team coached by Casiraghi as they beat Honduras 3-0. Giovinco, Rossi and Acquafresca score for an impriotant win even at a morale level and respect what Casiraghi had hoped for, that is “starting off on the right foot”. In Qinhuangdao the Azzurri immediately had a good chance (3’) with Acquafresca shooting and blocked by the Honduras goalkeeper. On 10’, Montolivo shoots but Hernandez deviates in corner kick and on 21’, Rossi heads a ball slightly off the side. On 40’, the Italians coached by Casiraghi score with Giovinco who controls the ball outside the box and sends off a shot that goes right past Hernandez. On 43’, the refee calls a penalty kick for a foul by Arzu and Rossi scores the second goal. In the second half, on 6’, Italy scores against with Acquafresca (starting instead of the injured Rocchi) who scores the 3-0. Eight minutes from the end, Pavon tries but kicks high the third penalty kick granted by the Slovenian Skomina. Next appointment for the team on Sunday, (1:45 pm Italian time) against South Korea.
